About
I build systems that make life, work, and coordination simpler.
Friday Sandbox is a collection of apps, tools, dashboards, and experiments inspired by real-world problems, everyday frustrations, and ideas that seemed worth exploring.
Hi, I’m Kay.
My background is in finance, project administration, grants, and operations. Over the years, I’ve worked with budgets, reporting, project portfolios, deadlines, and the countless moving parts that keep things running.
I also enjoy building things.
Friday Sandbox is where I share projects that emerge from everyday life, work, family, fitness, and the occasional spark of curiosity. Most are built with the help of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude, combined with my own ideas, testing, and real-world experience.
I enjoy identifying problems, exploring solutions, and turning ideas into practical tools that make things a little easier. Sometimes that results in a dashboard. Sometimes it’s a planning tool, a family app, or a completely unnecessary experiment that simply seemed interesting to build.
Some projects solve practical problems. Others exist purely because I was curious to see if they could be built.
This site is my digital sandbox — a place to experiment, learn, and share the things I create along the way.
Why "Friday Sandbox"?
The best ideas rarely come from meetings.
They appear on quiet evenings, weekends, and those moments when curiosity takes over.
Friday Sandbox is where ideas are allowed to be explored, tested, improved, and sometimes abandoned. It is a place for building without pressure and creating without permission.
Not every project becomes a business.
Not every experiment becomes a product.
But every project teaches something.
